SGMA requires GSAs to coordinate their GSP preparation both within a groundwater basin and with the adjoining groundwater basins. To facilitate this coordination, the GSAs in the Delta-Mendota Subbasin has formed the following committees and subcommittees for the expressed purposes.


Delta-Mendota Subbasin Coordination Committee

Composed of members representing the entities preparing the six Subbasin GSPs. The purpose of this committee is to provide overall guidance and resolve conflicts among the GSAs to ensure that the six GSPs are coordinated as required by SGMA. Meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 1 pm at the SLDMWA admin offices in Los Banos.

Delta-Mendota Subbasin Technical Working Group

This working group was formed to address and coordinate technical issues (including, but not limited to, data sharing and confirmation of use of same data and methods) in preparing the six Subbasin GSPs. Meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 10 am to noon at the SLDMWA admin offices in Los Banos.

Regional Coordination Committee

This committee is composed of members of all subbasins within the San Joaquin Valley Groundwater Basin, and is intended to address the SGMA requirement that the same data and methods are used in GSP preparation. This committee is primarily concerned about data, information and GSP preparation covering areas along the boundaries of the various subbasins. Regular meetings have not yet been scheduled.

Delta-Mendota Subbasin Communications Working Group

This working group was formed to coordinate messaging, education and outreach throughout the entire Subbasin relative to SGMA and GSP requirements. Meets the 4th Tuesday of the month from 1 to 3 pm at the SLDMWA admin offices in Los Banos.

Other Committee Meetings

Northern and Central Delta-Mendota Region Management Committee -Meets on the last Thursday of the month at the SLDMWA admin offices in Los Banos.


Northern and Central Technical Working Group - Meets biweekly on Mondays at the SLDMWA admin offices in Los Banos.
